Mobile App

 

The {EVATEL} mobile app enables you to manage your business communications on mobile devices such as Apple, Android and Blackberry smartphones and tablets.

  • Make and receive phone calls using your office phone extension. 
  • Set your status profile.
  • Access and manage your voice messages, faxes and recorded conversations.
  • Send and receive text messages on your Smart Number.
  • Set and manage reminders.
  • View call logs and call back using WebPhone.

The mobile app connects directly to your account to view and update your status, call logs, messages, and contacts. It’s also a WebPhone registered as a telephone extension on your phone system. You can receive and make phone calls on your Mobile App's WebPhone like you would on any of your other IP telephone devices.

Mobile App Dashboard

From the mobile app dashboard you can:

  • Use the WebPhone to make and receive phone calls. 
  • Set your status profile instantly.
  • Access and manage your voice messages.
  • Access and manage your faxes.
  • Send and receive text messages on your Smart Number.
  • Access and manage your recorded conversations.
  • Set and manage call reminders.
  • View call logs and call back.
  • Access your contacts and colleagues with the ability to call them or text them.
  • Access settings to change your language, WebPhone call options, report issues.

Mobile App Menu

Tap the  Menu icon to access the mobile app Menu and the following functions:

  • WebPhone to dial phone numbers and call contacts and colleagues.
  • Reminders to view and manage your call reminders.
  • Contacts to access your contacts and colleagues.
  • Settings to configure features of your mobile app.
  • Logout to disconnect your mobile app from your account.

WebPhone

Tap WebPhone on the mobile app menu to make and receive phone calls. See WebPhone for details.

Dial phone numbers and internal extensions

  • Launch the WebPhone then use the displayed keypad to dial a phone number or an internal extension if you are an employee on a company phone system.
  • Click the dial button (you may have to choose the call option if you have set WebPhone to always ask you to choose how you want to make the call). See WebPhone Call Options for details.

Call contacts and colleagues using the WebPhone

  • Launch the WebPhone then use the Contacts button on the keypad to select a contact or colleague (if you are an employee on a company phone system) to call.
  • Click the Dial button (you may have to choose the call option if you have set WebPhone to always ask you to choose how you want to make the call). See WebPhone Call Options for details.

Call back from recent calls

  • Launch WebPhone then use the  Recent button on the keypad to select a call logs entry (calls received and made using WebPhone).
  • Click the Dial button (you may have to choose the call option if you have set WebPhone to always ask you to choose how you want to make the call). See WebPhone Call Options for details.

Receiving Calls on WebPhone

Each WebPhone is registered as a telephone extension on your phone system. You can receive phone calls on your WebPhone extensions like you would on any of your other IP telephone devices.

To receive calls on your WebPhone, add its phone extension in the call forwarding of your status profile. If you are an employee on a company phone system, your colleagues can dire your WebPhone extension number directly.

Reminders 

Tap Reminders on the mobile app menu to view and manage your call reminders.

Contacts

Tap Contacts on the Mobile App menu to access and manage your contacts and colleagues.

Settings

Tap Settings on the mobile app menu to open the mobile app configuration parameters.

Call Options

From the Settings page, tap Call Options to specify how you want the WebPhone to make your calls:

  • Use WebPhone. Use the WebPhone IP office extension to make the call over the Internet. If you are using this option on your Web Portal, then your computer must be equipped with a headset or a microphone and speakers in order to carry out calls.
  • Call me back. You will be called back on one of your selected phone numbers, before dialing the number that you want to call. You can use the dropdown list of your locations to change the phone number where you get called back.
  • Use the cell network (Mobile App Only). The call will be made using your mobile device's network (SIM card).
  • Ask me to choose (Mobile App Only). You will always be asked to choose one of the 3 call options: Use WebPhone, Call me back or Use the cell network. 

Logout 

Tap Logout on the mobile app menu to disconnect your Mobile App from your account. Once logged out, you will have to provide your username and PIN to reconnect the mobile app to your {EVATEL} account.
