WebPhone Dialer
What is WebPhone?
WebPhone is your application to make and receive phone calls on your Web browser and mobile devices. The WebPhone can be accessed and used in different situations:

WebPhone on your Web Portal: Click the WebPhone icon on your home page dashboard or Web Portal header to launch the WebPhone dialer. You can also click on the WebPhone icon on any phone number shown on your Web Portal to dial it. See WebPhone on Web Portal for details.

WebPhone on your Mobile App: Click the WebPhone icon on the dashboard of your Mobile App to launch the WebPhone dialer. You can also click on any phone number shown on your Mobile App to launch the WebPhone dialer. See WebPhone on Mobile App for details.

WebPhone Extension on your Web browser: Install the WebPhone extension for your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge), then click on the WebPhone extension icon shown on the header of your browser to launch the WebPhone dialer. You can also click on any phone number shown on your Web browser to dial it using your WebPhone. See WebPhone Browser Extension for details.
Each WebPhone is registered as a telephone extension on your phone system. You can receive phone calls on your WebPhone extensions like you would on any of your other IP telephone devices.
WebPhone Functions
WebPhone is a powerful application to make and receive phone calls. It offers the following functions when making a call:
- Keypad to dial phone numbers and internal extensions
- Recent calls made and received to redial or call back
- Access to contacts and colleagues to call them on their listed phone numbers
WebPhone offers the following functions when receiving a call:
- Incoming call notification with option to answer or hangup
- During answered calls, the keypad offers button to enable/disable Speakerphone, put the call OnHold, Transfer the call, Hangup, Record the conversation, and Mute the microphone.
WebPhone on your Web Portal
Click the WebPhone icon on your dashboard or Web Portal header to launch the WebPhone dialer. You can also click on the Phone icon on any phone number shown on your Web Portal to dial it.

WebPhone on your Mobile App
The WebPhone is included on your Mobile App. Click the WebPhone icon on the dashboard to launch the dialer. To learn more on the Mobile App and its WebPhone, see WebPhone on Mobile App for details.
WebPhone Extension on your Browser
You can install the WebPhone extension for your browser and use it to dial any phone number shown on your Web browser. Here are the steps to install and launch the WebPhone extension on your browser:
- Open your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) then select Settings, Parameters or Extensions;
- Open "More Extensions" or "Extensions Marketplace"
- Search for "{EVATEL} WebPhone" then select the WebPhone extension from the list of extensions found;
- Follow the installation steps and confirm;
- The WebPhone extension icon will be shown on the header of your browser;
- Click the WebPhone extension icon to launch the WebPhone dialer on your browser. You can also click on any phone number shown on your Web browser to dial it using your WebPhone extension.
Making Calls using WebPhone
Call Options
WebPhone offers different ways to handle the calls you make. Select your preferred method from the dropdown list of call options on the left side of the phone number field:
- Use WebPhone. Use the WebPhone office extension to make the call on the Internet. Your computer must be equipped with a headset or a microphone and speakers in order to carry out calls on your Web Portal.
- Call me back. Select the phone number or office extension where you want to be called back. The system will first call you on the selected phone number and will only start dialing the number that you want to call once you answer. If the phone number or office extension where you want to be called back is not in the dropdown list, then you must first add it under Settings > Phone Numbers.
WebPhone saves your selection as the default call option to handle the next calls you make. At anytime, you can select a different call option from the dropdown list on the left side of the phone number field.
Dial phone numbers and internal extensions
- Launch WebPhone then use the displayed keypad to dial a phone number or an internal extension if you are an employee on a company phone system.
- Click the dial button (you may have to choose the call option if you have set WebPhone to always ask you to choose how you want to make the call. See WebPhone Call Options for details.
Call contacts and colleagues
- Launch WebPhone then use the Contacts button at the bottom-left of the displayed keypad to select a contact or colleague (if you are an employee on a company phone system) to call.
- Click the Dial button (you may have to choose the call option). See WebPhone Call Options for details.
Call back from recent calls
- Launch WebPhone then use the Recent button at the bottom-right of the displayed keypad to select a one of the call logs entries (calls received and made using WebPhone).
- Click the Dial button (you may have to choose the call option). See WebPhone Call Options for details.
Receiving Calls on WebPhone
Each WebPhone is registered as a telephone extension on your phone system. You can receive phone calls on your WebPhone extensions like you would on any of your other IP telephone devices.
To receive calls on your WebPhone, add its phone extension in the call forwarding of your status profile. If you are an employee on a company phone system, your colleagues can directly your WebPhone extension number.
