Call Logs
The details of each call you make or receive through the {EVATEL} services are recorded. The logs include calls via your office telephone extensions (WebPhone, telephone devices and mobile app) and voice services (Smart Number, Virtual Assistant or Virtual Receptionist if you have a corporate account). You can use the call logs for several purposes:
- View, sort, save and print your call history from the Web portal.
- Call back people or text them from the Web portal or mobile app using the built-in WebPhone.
- Review your call history by phone using the touchtone or speech commands of your Virtual Assistant. For information on voice commands, see Call Logs Voice Commands for details.
- Add contacts from the call history list.
Call log entries cannot be modified.
From the Call Logs page, you can:
- View your call history.
- Refresh call logs by importing calls made from your office extensions.
- Dial phone numbers listed in your call logs.
- Export call log details to a PDF or CSV file.
- Sort, search and filter call logs.
Special note on incoming calls: For each call received, two or more phone calls may be logged, i.e. the incoming call to your Virtual Assistant (i.e. your Smart Number or Virtual Receptionist if you have a company account), and the outgoing calls to the numbers where you want to be reached and which you specified in your status profile under Call Forwarding. In such cases, the call logs will show incoming and outgoing calls separately.

Overview of Interface
This page displays the history of your calls received and made with the following information:

Call Start |
Displays the date and time when the call started (in the format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS). |
Caller |
Name of the person who made the call. This field displays your name for calls you made or the name of the person who called you. |
Caller Number |
Phone number from which the call was made. For calls you made, this field shows the phone number from which you made the call. Clicking this link will dial the phone number using WebPhone. |
Dialed Number |
Number dialed by the caller. This field displays your Smart Number for calls you received or the number that you dialed to call someone. Clicking this link will dial the phone number using WebPhone. |
Called Name |
Name of the person called. This field displays your name for calls you received or the name of the contact that you called. |
Forwarded To(calls received only) |
Number where the system tried to reach you as specified in your status profile under Call Forwarding. This field contains the phone number that was dialed to reach you (i.e. your mobile number, your office extension or Mobile App). Clicking this link will dial the phone number using WebPhone. |
Called Number(calls made only) |
Number that you called. Clicking this link will dial the phone number using WebPhone. |
Duration |
Time spent on the call (in the format HH:MM:SS) from the call connection to the call disconnection (hung up). |
Refresh Call Logs
All calls that you make or receive are instantly added to your call logs except for local calls dialed from your office extensions such as IP telephone devices and WebPhone on the Web Portal, Mobile App or Browser extension. At anytime, you can manually import these local calls made from your office extensions into your call logs and refresh the list.
To manually import local calls made from your office extensions into your call logs:
- Click Call Logs in the main menu.
- Click the Refresh button.
- The list of calls will be updated and will include local calls made from your office extensions.
Dial a Phone Number from the Call Logs
The system includes a WebPhone that allows you to dial phone numbers directly from the Web Portal interface. See WebPhone for details.
Click any phone number listed in the Caller Number, Called Number or Forwarded To columns to dial the phone number using WebPhone.
Delete Call Logs
You cannot delete call logs. The system keeps a call history archive with your account up to a maximum of 12 months.
Export Call Logs
The Web Portal allows you to export your call logs in a CSV or PDF file. This function enables you to keep an archive of your call logs.
Export to a CSV File
To save your call logs to a CSV file:
- Click Call Logs in the main menu.
- As needed, filter the call logs using the Category and Month dropdown lists. See Filter Call Logs for details.
- Click the box next to the items you want to export. By default, all items are selected (checked).
- Click the CSV button.
- Save the file to the location of your choice on your PC.
Export to a PDF File
To save your call logs in a PDF file:
- Click Call Logs in the main menu.
- As required, filter the call logs using the Category and Month drop-down lists. See Filter Call Logs for details.
- Click the box next to the items you wish to export. By default, all items are selected (checked).
- Click the PDF button.
- Save the file to the location of your choice on your PC.
Search Call Logs
The first row of the table contains blank fields in which you can type a keyword to search for. For example, type "John" in the Caller column and press enter to view all callers containing the word "John".
To remove the search filter, delete the keywords typed in the first row of the table and press Enter.
Sort Call Logs
The Call Logs are displayed by month in chronological order with the most recent calls at the top of the list.
You can sort the call logs alphabetically or numerically (based on the type of information in the columns) by clicking on any of the column headings in the Call Logs page.
Filter Call Logs
By default, all call logs of the current month are displayed. You can filter call logs by using the Category and Month dropdown list.
Month: You can view call logs by month up to 12 months. If you wish to save a copy of your call logs beyond 12 months, you can download them as a CSV or PDF file before they get archived and deleted from the system.
Category:
- Show All Calls: Removes filters and displays all calls in their chronological order or as specified by your sorting selection.
- Calls Made: Lists only calls you made through the Virtual Assistant services.
- Calls Received: Lists only calls received via the Virtual Assistant services (Smart Number).
- Faxes Received: Lists faxes received via your Smart Number.
- Voice Alerts: Lists all notifications and reminders you received from your Virtual Assistant.
- Sessions: Lists all the phone sessions you had with your Virtual Assistant. Sessions include the time you spend during your dialog with the Virtual Assistant as well as the time spent checking your voicemail, emails and calendar or interacting with your contacts.
- Toll-Free Calls: List all calls you received through your toll-free number if you have one.
